Make Your Trip To Turks And Caicos Unforgettable With These Activities

We all fantasize about having the perfect vacation, getting away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and having a break from work and stress. When you finally get the chance to plan out the perfect vacation, there are so many places to go to all over the world. It can become difficult to decide where to go and what to do while you’re there. Do you want a beach vacation with spa days and endless pampering and relaxation? Do you prefer keeping busy and exploring the area you’re staying in? There is certainly a place for everyone no matter what you want to do. One popular vacation destination is none other than the Turks and Caicos Islands, AKA Providenciales. These Caribbean islands seem to be what dreams are made of. They have plenty of gorgeous white sand beaches with crystal blue water, luxurious resorts, and delicious food. Not only that, but there is so much to do while on the islands!

Visit Iguana Island

Also known as Little Water Cay, Iguana Island is a preserved island that is home to local rock iguanas. There are organized tours that will give you the chance to see these reptiles up close! Combined with the stunning views all around the island, you’ll feel like a Caribbean explorer.

Go Horseback Riding

You can go horseback riding along the sandy white beaches on the island, and even in the shallow waters! This activity is great for couples and even kids.

Snorkeling

Another enjoyable activity is to go snorkeling. There are beautiful reefs off the shore of some beaches, and there are also snorkeling cruise options. Either way, you get to see a stunning underwater scene.

Glow Worm Tour

As if this place wasn’t magical enough, there is a gorgeous phenomenon you can witness while on the island. For a few days after the full moon and 50 minutes after sunset, you can get a look at glow worms. These small marine worms rise from the ocean floor and light up the water with a green glimmer. You can book a boat cruise in advance. This occurrence isn’t the most predictable, but you can always ask the boat cruise operators about it.

Whale Watching

During the winter months, you can go to the southern island in Salt Cay. From there you can charter your own whale-spotting boat or stand on the cliffs and keep an eye out for humpback whales!

Grace Bay

This particular beach is known for its crystal clear blue water and soft white sand. If you’re in the mood to spend the day on the beach, head to Grace Bay.

Turks And Caicos National Museum

If you want to incorporate some learning into your vacation, you can go to the Turks and Caicos National Museum. It is on the smaller side, but it’s a wonderful way to learn about the history and culture of the island.

Water Sports

Whether you want to go jet-skiing, kayaking, or stand-up paddle-boarding, you can do it all on the beaches of the island! You can get a closer look at marine life by kayaking or paddle-boarding, as well as keep active!
