Babies are born to boogie
Talk of tiny dancers! According to studies, babies are born with an unconscious sense of rhythm. Though they might not be able to break a step quite yet, evidence suggests that babies have an instinctive capacity to react to the pace and tempo of the music, and may even find it more entertaining than voice.
Newborns have natural water instincts
Children are born with a “swimming reflex” known as a bradycardic response, which allows their muscles to automatically interact with the environment while immersed in water. Bub’s pulse rate will slow, and he will unconsciously catch his breath while submerged. What’s more remarkable is that, like fish, babies can breathe and swallow at the same time during the first three months of their lives. They develop this skill whilst in the womb but tend to lose it about the 6-month mark.
