Our drive took us to a neighboring town, and both Adam and I scanned the streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of Jason somewhere in the bustling area. But despite our determination and thorough search, it felt like we had hit a massive dead end. The town was so big, and Jason was nowhere in sight. Our anxiety grew with each passing minute, the uncertainty gnawing at us.
