Marriage
Elizabeth met her future husband, Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark when she was just 13 years old. They began to exchange letters, and this is how she instantly fell in love with him. The engagement only became official when she was 21 and was announced in July 1947. The couple were married on 20 November 1947 at Westminister Abby and received 2500 wedding gifts from around the world.
Acquiring The Throne
The couple had four children together, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward between 1949 and 1964. During this time, Elizabeth also took immediate accession to the throne in 1952 after the passing of her father, King George VI. Queen Elibath was just 26 years old at the time. Currently, Queen Elizabeth is 90 years old and the longest-reigning & living British monarch in history.
