Another Royal Engagement

Unknown to many, Catherine and William actually briefly ended their relationship for a few short years before getting back together and ultimately getting engaged whilst on a holiday in Kenya. The engagement ring that was given to Catherine by William had belonged to his mother, Princess Diana. The wedding was then set to take place in April the following year in Westminster Abbey, London.

Wedding Of The Decade

On April 29, 2011, the beautiful couple tied the knot in Westminister Abbey. This was by far one of the biggest events to take place within the decade. It was estimated that more than 300 million people from all around the world watched the anticipated event. From the day after her wedding, Catherine assumed the title, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge”. As a wedding gift from the Queen, the newlyweds received the country home on Sandringham Estate.
