Seeing something in the bushes
Kayla was certain she had seen something moving in the bushes! When she brushed the leaves aside, she saw six what she assumed were hairless bunnies gathered together for warmth. It was the middle of winter, and these poor critters must have been relieved! Kayla hastily drapes her coat over them and begins to think about what she should do next.

These animals require assistance, which she is eager to provide. But she remembers her parents had often told her that they did not want pets or other animals in the house. Perhaps they would make an exception in this case, but Kayla did not want to take the risk. If her parents did not alter their minds, these creatures would be left out in the cold again!
