Gourmelon was one of ten firefighters sent to the underpass of the Pont d’Alma. A Mercedes-Benz W140 with a broken front end was discovered. Unfortunately, one of the men inside seemed to have already vanished. As a result, Gourmelon scrambled to figure out how he could help, and the blonde woman proved to be the ideal candidate.

The fact that the person in question was none other than Princess Diana contributed to the seriousness of the situation.
