Something else that seemed quite evident is the fact that journalists and photographers completely harassed the Princess while she was trying to enjoy her vacation. They try to get pictures of her at any time they could. During an unplanned press conference, Diana explained to the congregated reporters that the next thing she did was going to do would totally impress them. Unfortunately, those words would soon prove to be fateful.

Diana was already well-acquainted with Dodi Fayed and his posse, St. Tropez was merely a time for them to get to know each other better. Dodi was Al-eldest Fayed’s son, and as one of the billionaire’s grandchildren, he was born and raised in wealth. However, he was also able to establish himself as a film director, with movie credits to Chariots of Fire and Hook.
