Ben Watkins, a MasterChef Junior contestant from season 6, passed away on November 6 after an 18-month battle with such a rare cancer. He was 14 years old at the time. Watkins, who started cooking at the age of three, finished in the top 18 of the culinary competition show and then became a crowd favourite.

Bert Belasco
Bert Belasco, the actor from Let’s Stay Together, passed away at the age of 38. The BET star was discovered dead in his Virginia hotel room, where he was quarantining for an upcoming movie character. Belasco has also showed up on Fox’s Pitch and numerous episodes of Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here, in addition to his role as Charles Whitmore on Let’s Stay Together. He also appeared on Justified, Superstore, NCIS: New Orleans, Key & Peele, and House for brief periods of time.
