Aretha Franklin was previously known as one curvy. The iconic jazz singer began to cross 300 pounds on the weighting scale and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Like the others on this list, she realized that once again she had to take care of her wellbeing. Her age and illness made things much more complicated, so she took the initiative as seriously as she could. She also got a team of experts made up of physicians, a trainer and a dietitian to come up with a perfect diet tailored to her. She didn’t even think of quicker options like gastric sleeve surgery and the like, but she managed to lose more than 100 pounds!

American actress Blake Lively is best known for playing one of the leading characters on the popular Gossip Girl TV show. In 2014, she gained a large amount of weight while she was pregnant with Ryan Reynolds’ child. This was nothing odd, although she wanted to lose some weight after delivering the baby and agreeing to work on The Swallows just a few months later. She had a strict diet as well as an intense exercise regimen. She lost as much as 60 pounds back then, even though she now claims she’s in “the best shape of her life.” We’re so happy with her!
