Once a dog lover, always a dog lover. Cesar’s secret to crossing the border was coyotes…yup, you read that right! He began to follow coyotes, also known as specialized smugglers, because of their ability to help lead Mexicans into the U.S. Just as Cesar had found his “pack” and had finally felt like he wasn’t alone, some fellow travelers were swept away by a flooded canal, leading to their deaths. The loss of Cesar’s newfound friends meant he was alone once again.
