In 2017, someone asked Jay Leno which car was his favorite among his collection. He responded by saying that the 1994 McLaren F1 was the apple of his eyes! This car first went on sale for $12 million, but the price has since doubled. Based on the auction price of a different unit, it now has a value of $23 million. When Leno talked to Wired, he explained that people were shocked to learn that this futuristic car came out in 1996. He went short and sweet by saying, “When a car looks right, it[‘s] right.” Fun fact: the 1994 McLaren F1 was the first car from the brand to be considered street-legal.

1955 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing Coupe

Jay Leno introduced a 1955 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing Coupe to his garage in 2015. He was determined to restore the vehicle and was delighted that he managed to buy it. He explained that it had been “out of reach” for a long time. This couple had always been ahead of the curve, so we understand why he wanted it so badly. When it first came out, it boasted a lot of new features such as tubular space frame, fully independent suspension, and those unique car doors! It is currently under construction, but we bet that the red paint will not go anywhere. The car used to go for $2,200, but it is now worth $2.35 million.
