Irving Metzman
Metzman was born Douglas Kahn, but actually changed his name to match the role of his character in a play. He planned to change his name with each play he starred in, but never followed through. Metzman is best known for performances in WarGames, The Purple Rose of Cairo and yes, Crocodile Dundee. The actor is also a published playwright.

Aw, Danny the cab driver was played by none other than Rik Colitti in the original movie. After his work in Fort Apache the Bronx and The New Mike Hammer, he became a bona fide star. Sadly, he died in 2010. His final appearance was in a 1997 episode of Law and Order.
