The Merchant Royal
Merchant Royal Captain John Limbrey was in charge of taking the treasures from the New World to Spain in 1641. When the ship entered English waters, the weather changed damaging the boat which began taking on water. Dover Merchant (Sister’s ship) went to rescue the captain and the crew but could not find any of the cargo. This shipwreck became popularized as the “Eldorado of the seas”. Up until today, many people have explored the waters to find the remains of the ship, but all attempts have failed.
The Witchcraft
On December 22, 1967, two friends embarked on the 23-foot luxury yacht Witchcraft headed to Miami. However they hit something just after traveling just one mile, so they naturally called the Miami Coast Guard to assist them. 19 minutes after the call, the Coast Guard arrived at the location but there was no trace of the boat, no sign of debris, or the two friends for that matter. For almost a week, miles of ocean were searched but nothing was even found. Today this yacht is believed to be one of the Bermuda Triangle’s victims.
