Maui’s hook is always with him
Moana is accompanied by Maui, her deuteragonist, who reluctantly takes on the responsibility of helping her on her journey. One of his many fascinating powers is the ability to shape-shift thanks to his magical hook. There were a lot of complaints since no one could answer where the hook went when Maui was not in his normal form.
Disney designed the ultimate solution rather than neglecting the problem. The hook appears as a mark on the body of whoever is in the form of Maui when he changes shape. It’s a very good idea!
Tangled’s nod to previous princesses
While referencing past Disney classics has been more frequent in recent Disney films, this trend began decades ago. To make it even more interesting, Easter eggs are little icons and objects that appear in the background of videos that pay tribute to another film, but they’re well hidden.
One notable example of this is Rapunzel’s bedroom, which has different references to Disney princesses. This is only a brief overview of the other options. The dresser is a reference to Beauty and the Beast, while the spindle is a reference to Sleeping Beauty.
