STARS deserves credit, but Storm played a big part in saving the fawn. The young deer would have drowned if the dog had not leaped in to help – something we can all learn and emulate when we come across someone or something that needs help.

The instant Storm realized something was not quite right, he acted immediately. He did not care to find out the kind of animal that needed help – he just jumped straight in. The question now was would the deer live?

The deer was now under the care of Frankie and Erica, and the couple noticed he was suffering from subcutaneous emphysema, a condition which results from air that gets trapped under the skin.

This condition may cause complications like infection, so the rescuers gave the young deer antibiotics. A possible infective could kill the poor deer. They fed the little one baby formula with fresh grass and hoped the fawn would get better soon.
