It was definitely a loss to pop music when they ignored her work! But their loss was a gain for the country music industry. Composing Bill Philipp’s biggest hit and singing him the sample harmonies were what started her journey in the world of country music. Her two country singles from the album “Hello, I’m Dolly!” became hits. They later on gained the 17th and 24th spots in the music charts in 1967.
