As crowds were gathered by the canal to get a good look at what was going on, more and more items were being unearthed and found in the depths of the murky water. The canal gets drained and cleaned once every 10-15 years, giving the public plenty of time to toss, lose, and drop all kinds of peculiar items in the water. Here we can see an old-school stereo sunken on the muddy ground. We can’t help but wonder how it ended up there in the first place.

Crowds Gathering

It’s no surprise that the locals would be curious about the draining and cleaning process – who wouldn’t be? As workers went on with their process, onlookers gathered around the canal, watching the whole thing slowly happen. Maybe Parisians wanted to see if they would find a long-lost item in the mix? Perhaps they were simply looking for a relaxing form of entertainment that included spending time outdoors? We know we would love to watch such a thing.
