When it comes to sewers and drains, it turns out that some blockages are bigger than others. For instance, one of the largest items ever found in London was in 2014 when a drain cleaning company came across half of a Mini car that was discarded. While an impressive feat, this particular issue turned out to cost a total of £70 million to unblock the capital’s sewers that year. We bet whoever put that car there regretted it.

Understandably, some items found in sewers cannot be identified, no matter how much time people spend examining and studying them. That was the case with the mysterious jaw bone found in a sewer in Canada back in 2009. The bone could have belonged to any one of a number of herbivorous animals. In Canada, bone discoveries aren’t such a shock since the region is known to have a higher-than-average distribution of dinosaur remains. However, finding a bone in a completed tunnel is more unusual.
