Not many people have heard of the Republic of Abkhazia. After being ravaged by widespread killings and ethnic cleansing in the early ’90s, many areas were abandoned. Many regions have become areas of empty buildings. The building in the image is a long-forgotten college that has been overgrown with greenery.

Sky High
Located in the western region of Georgia, the Katskhi Pillar is a naturally occurring rock. On top of it is a Georgian church, where a local monk lives. The monk, Maxime, is 59-years-old and receives food packages and supplies from followers twice a week. To reach the top, one must climb a 131ft ladder.
