Trump was not entirely satisfied with his business endeavors and started making his name known around New Jersey. In 1977, the state legalized casino gambling and Trump was ready for business opportunities. He opened Harrah’s at Trump Plaza hotel and casino and went on to purchase more casino properties in Atlantic City. Eventually, this would be financial disasters.
