Trump was a football player during his time at NYMA. He loved sports so much and even became the owner of a football team later in his life. He tried to run an American football league that would be part of the National Football League.

Trump shared this photo to his Facebook and wrote “#TBT Myself with mother and father at New York Military Academy. See, I can be very military. High rank!” While he was bragging about being in the military, he has received five draft deferments from serving in Vietnam. Four of which occured while he was in college. The fifth came about after being diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels. However, the diagnosis has been recently suspicious and, the diagnoses were just done as a favor to Fred since he was the podiatrist’s landlord.
