We cannot blame you if you were not a big fan of the Malfoys. Even though Narcissa was not a Death Eater, her entire family had been associated with Voldemort for many years. This is definitely a bad thing in our books! On top of that, she is also quite snobbish but nowhere near as bad as her relatives. She gets brownie points for the fact that she lied to You-Know-Who at the Battle of Hogwarts to save Draco, her son. In the end, this helped Harry survive and ultimately win against Lord Voldemort.

You might be surprised to hear that Helen McCrory was supposed to play a different character. She was meant to play Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa’s sister, but she fell pregnant and had to give up this part. At any rate, the producers liked her a lot and did not want to make her drop the project altogether. After giving birth, she was given this role. If you ask us, this worked out well for everyone involved. If you want to see McCrory act, she was also in Skyfall, Peaky Blinders, and The Woman In Black: Angel of Death.
