Even though this character was always called the Grey Lady, it was eventually revealed that she was the ghost of Helena Ravenclaw! She was the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, one of the founders of Hogwarts. This relation put a lot of pressure on her, so she ran away to Albania and snuck her mother’s diadem with her. Sadly, her family never heard from her again after she left.

Just so you know, Nina Young only portrayed the Grey Lady in the first movie. As you might already know, the character had a bigger role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. By then, a different actress portrayed the ghost. At any rate, this has not stopped Nina Young from making waves in the industry. She is an actress-producer best known for appearing in James Bond, Clash of the Titans,Johnny English, and Tomorrow Never Dies.
