Alecto Carrow is not a name that brings a lot of positive connotations. This character was a Death Eater who was always seen with her brother. The family came to power with the rise of Lord Voldemort after the Ministry of Magic fell. Alecto ended up teaching Muggles Studies at Hogwarts but let us just say that she was not the best teacher. She became the Deputy Headmistress when Severus Snape was appointed the Headmaster. Alecto liked to punish students and torture them. It was a good thing that Luna Lovegood managed to stun her as she tried to summon the other Death Eaters! Good job, Luna.

Sadly, the actress pretty much stopped acting after working on the Harry Potter series. The actress used to be on a hit sitcom called The IT Crowd and played an ex-girlfriend of Roy’s in the fifth episode of the third season. Aside from that, she made a guest appearance in Hotel Babylon. The actress seems to prefer the strange and has starred in a number of productions.
