The air was packed with the beep-beep of the truck pulling up, Thomas’ maniacal laughter, and an awful stench. “Okay,” Thomas bellowed. “Set ‘er down!” Dozens of bags tumbled down into the dodging swarm of flies with a rumble and loud clang of broken glass. When the dust had settled, Thomas took a step back and marveled at the scene. His vengeance was a masterpiece.

Thomas Ravaux was an upbeat man, and the couple with three well-behaved children who had inquired about renting an apartment from him had seemed pleasant enough. They had passed all of the financial and security checks with flying colors after filling out the necessary paperwork. There were no red flags, and Thomas was certain he’d made the right choice.

Thomas spent a week making sure his new tenants’ French apartment was ready. He repainted the entire house in a fresh coat of white paint and double-checked the fittings, cornices, door handles, and plumbing to ensure everything was in working order. He rented a wood polishing machine and buffed the hardwood floors to a gleaming sheen.

The seemingly-perfect family began to move in after everything was in order, bringing boxes of their belongings with them, which they neatly stacked in the hallway. Thomas handed them the keys and continued on his way. After two months, three months, and four months, he still hadn’t received his first rental payment. He dismissed it at first and chalked it up to a banking blunder. Surely there had been a blunder somewhere?

Thomas dialed his bank’s number. For whatever reason, the payments did not appear in his bank account. He was starting to feel the pinch without this steady stream of income because he had a family of his own. What the woman on the customer service line said, on the other hand, made him see red.

His new tenants had not made any rental payments at all. He dialed their number angrily, but no one answered. He kept calling, assuming that the father of three was preoccupied. His call was abruptly disconnected, and he began to fear the worst. They were trying to stay away from him. This went on for a total of fourteen months. Thomas was a patient man, but he had reached his limit.

Thomas drove up to the immaculate apartment building and took a stroll down the driveway. He knocked on the door but received no response. He whipped out his spare key because he had suspected as much. He was going to tell these tenants what he thought of them. The sight in the hallway sent him reeling when he creaked the unoiled door open.

Trash was piled from floor to ceiling in the apartment. Children’s toys littered the once-immaculate hardwood floor, as did broken furniture in heaps of splintered wood. The stench of rotten food hung in the air like a thick fog, with dishes piled high on every surface.

Thomas shook his head as though he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. How could anyone survive in such a filthy environment? As he stood there, his mouth twisted up in disgust, his eyes soaked it all in. There were holes drilled in the drywall, and there were signs of dogs living here as well. He took a moment to collect himself before beginning to devise a strategy.

Thomas was on the verge of crying because there was such total disrespect for his belongings. This apartment had been his grandfather’s, and when he died, Thomas inherited it and had to make the difficult decision to rent it out. He was in desperate need of cash, and with a family to support, it had come as a blessing. Then there’s this. It’s been ruined. He’d show them, for sure.

Thomas took out his phone and dialed his lawyer’s number, who gave him the green light. Then Thomas knocked on the door of his next-door neighbor. He inquired about whether his tenants had visited the apartment recently, but the neighbor said it had been vacant for weeks. Thomas, enraged, dialed another number. These obnoxious tenants were going to have to pay.

Fortunately, his tenants were on the registry. He quickly looked up their new address in a directory. He was perplexed as he inspected the damages from room to room. They had walked away without saying something, leaving a mountain of garbage for him to clean up. Sweat dripped from his brow as his palms fisted into balls. Something in Thomas’s normally calm demeanor had finally cracked.

Men began to enter the building as the truck rumbled up to the road. They were astounded by what they found inside and set about loading the whole filthy mess into the dump truck. They cheered Thomas’s plan when they have heard of it. Everyone was looking forward to seeing these people get their just desserts. They were about to administer a dose of their own medication to them.

Broken furniture, trash, paper, dog feces, rotting food, and dirty dishes were stacked into a stinking heap on the truck. Thomas had never seen anything so filthy before. Finally, the garbage was removed from the apartment, and Thomas followed the truck to its final destination–just a few blocks away, outside the tenants’ newly leased apartment.

With a beep-beep, the truck backed up and tipped the heap of garbage right into the rude renters’ driveway. Onlookers gathered and couldn’t help but stare at such a heinous delivery, but Thomas grinned as he imagined the rude people’s reaction when they saw what he had left for them as a surprise.

Thomas shared the video of his vengeance on Facebook and YouTube, and it soon went viral. Local news outlets picked up the story, and the original video has over a million views. The majority of commentators thanked Thomas for instilling common sense in his nightmare tenants. One commenter wrote: “Love it!! This needs to be done in the United States! I’ve seen some disgusting tenants in my neighborhood!” However, not everyone who saw Thomas’s revenge video praised him.

As you would expect, Alec’s package had been stolen before, very often, before he decided to put together a particularly vile package for the next unsuspecting thief. The first prank starts with a video that clearly took time and effort to create; Alec clearly put a lot of thought into his revenge tape. The video is entitled: “I’m sick of my packages being stolen, so I got creative…” As of the moment, the video currently has over a million views. It seems like many people are interested in what happened as a lot of people have experienced this before and want the thieves to get the short end of the stick finally.

Alec starts the video by cleaning out his cat’s litter box. He makes certain that he receives each and every kitty parcel. He must have been collecting kitty contents for a few days because there is a lot of it when he fills a brown box lined with a black bag. It’s all the way to the top.

Most impressively, Alec spent a lot of time making the box appear to be a very official delivery, even going to the trouble of neatly taping it up. And he goes above and beyond, including official-looking accessories, including an authentic-looking handwritten packing list taped to the top of the diabolical parcel.

He created an intricate video of himself putting the box on his porch steps, cleverly including his accomplice cat in the video and watching him lay down his trap through the glass door. Then comes the waiting. The bait is taken after a couple of days, but it is taken.

His surveillance camera captures an unsuspecting man boldly strolling up to his porch, looking for all to see–as if he belonged there. Before taking the box and fleeing, he rings the doorbell to see if someone is home. Alec is giddy with anticipation, thinking that this package thief is about to get his just desserts any minute now.

Like many other package robbers, this squad knew the homes were going to have packages shipped to them, so it wasn’t exactly state-of-the-art monitoring… They spent the whole day following the UPS truck around, leaving a 10-minute gap between the truck and themselves. Armbruster even states that “They were tailing the UPS truck, which can be seen in security camera footage about 10 minutes prior.”

Think about the look of disgust on the perpetrator’s face as they open the sandy surprise, which I’m sure smelled very ripe after a few days on the porch. The next group of people who went sidewalk shopping with a five-finger discount, on the other hand, crossed the wrong guy. Mark Robert, an inventor, created the ultimate revenge box, which contained something much viler than cat litter.

He doesn’t want to see someone get hurt, but he does want to ruin the interior of your car… That is unless you are a Porch Pirate. It’s impossible not to get reactions when you unleash a storm of gorgeous glitter followed by five sprays of fart from a can every 30 seconds. I slowed it down to marvel at the incredible glitter cloud spin and changed colors over and over, but that’s just me; I believe most people will agree that the genius is in the video feedback. There are four iPhones in all, each activated by two latches. When the lid of the box is opened, it triggers a cascade of events. Mark explains: “This custom printed circuit board is the brains of the operation. It has a built-in accelerometer, and when it’s jostled, that will check the GPS signal to see if it’s been moved from the porch. And if so it sends a signal to all the phones to wake up and start recording and I’m using four phones that have a wide-angle.”

“Ultimately when they open their package I just want to celebrate their choice of profession with a cloud of glitter, because who doesn’t love glitter?” Jake continued, “…and because the phones have GPS we created a virtual geo-fence around my house so I get a notification when the package has been moved off the property.”

And it didn’t take long for that to happen. What’s the best part? Seeing the video. “So it appears he was walking down the pavement and then suddenly makes a hard left. Then he takes the package and gets in his car and eventually makes it to this garage where this glorious sequence unfolds,” Mark delightfully shares.

The first deserving victim is a young thief who was unimpressed but knew he deserved, judging from his voice tone. He ranted to a friend, “My car dude. It’s all over my car. [It’s on] Everything!” The second group couldn’t get it open properly, so it wasn’t as visible, but everybody in the car was screaming, “Throw it out!” and “What’s that smell?”

I think the man shown last is my favorite of all the thieves captured by this amazing device. He was able to contain his enthusiasm at the prospect of opening the box before he got home. You can hear and see the glitter being thrown around the room as the cover is pulled off, and he just stands there, completely still and quiet. “Keep the change you filthy animal.” says a recording on the device. A fitting conclusion to a wild ride.
