Making Them Pay
Thomas took out his phone and dialed his lawyer’s number, who gave him the green light. Then Thomas knocked on the door of his next-door neighbor. He inquired about whether his tenants had visited the apartment recently, but the neighbor said it had been vacant for weeks. Thomas, enraged, dialed another number. These obnoxious tenants were going to have to pay.
Planning His Revenge
Fortunately, his tenants were on the registry. He quickly looked up their new address in a directory. He was perplexed as he inspected the damages from room to room. They had walked away without saying something, leaving a mountain of garbage for him to clean up. Sweat dripped from his brow as his palms fisted into balls. Something in Thomas’s normally calm demeanor had finally cracked.
