Growing Justification
A twinge of remorse lingered as the days went by, but I kept reminded myself why I had set up the camera. My resolve was strengthened every time Madelyn did something vaguely suspect. Did we have the wrong idea about her? Perhaps. However, my gut was begging for clarification. I felt worse as I watched her go on as if nothing was wrong, but I was also more determined to find out who she really was.

Testing Patience
I was restless from the weight of the days of suspense. Every time Madelyn visited, the anticipation weighed over us, turning my tolerance into annoyance. Would she make a mistake? I was plagued with feverish doubt: was I mistaken to suspect her? However, as my patience wore thin, I became aware of a troubling trend: Madelyn never saw anything fishy, but some of my possessions were going missing. I had just been struck with a fresh degree of concern.
