Have you ever wondered by shirts have loops at the back? It turns out that this was something that started in the Navy. As you can imagine, servicemen do not have much closet space out at sea. In the ‘60s, college kids also used this feature to keep their clothes wrinkle-free whenever they go to the gym.
Colored Toothpaste Squares
If you inspect your tube of toothpaste, there is a good chance that you will find a colored block at the end. This is called an “eye mark”. It is added to the packaging because it lets the machines on the assembly line know which parts to cut and fold. The tubes would not have been separated without it.
