Later that evening, Thad made the decision to view the video in the hopes that it would finally allay his worries. He experienced a mixture of relief and fear as he bid his mother farewell and departed her home. A part of him was expecting the worst, but he wanted to think that everything was all right. He had to find a time to watch the video somehow. And then there was a gap. He was confident that Annie wouldn’t stop him and that he would learn the truth. But everything would change when he saw it.
