Similarly like her father, Alexa Ray Joel is a singer-songwriter in her own right. She is the daughter of musician Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley. Eventually, she was able to break free from her father’s shadow and create a successful career in the music business. Throughout her career, she has performed for a variety of events and organizations while also representing independent music labels. Although she is attractive and accomplished, she has struggled with depression in the past, and it took her years to re-gain her self-confidence when she was diagnosed.

She chose not to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in acting; instead, she followed her heart and pursued a career in the music industry. She periodically joins her father on red carpet appearances, and she once auditioned for the reality television show, American Idol. She didn’t make it very far in the show, since she was eliminated fairly early in the competition. Unlike many other famous children, she has maintained a low-key existence away from the limelight. With her turning 32 this year, we’re excited to see what she has planned for the rest of her life.
