The presence I am talking about here was his role in The Andy Griffith Show. Yes, it was already planned that he would be there for the first episode, but he filmed it without any contract. In the entertainment industry, contracts should always be present. That happening could have led to Don being only in the first episode. Well, thanks to the producers of the show, they immediately worked on the actor’s contract as soon as they saw how talented and skillful of an actor he was.
