Light Pollution

If you like to stargaze, avoid the East Coast — and, for that matter, the whole eastern half of the United States – as seen on this map. No matter how good your equipment is, if the light pollution is too high, you wouldn’t be able to see any stars as they would be blocked out by the city lights.
