As Arthur contemplated the map, Stuart sauntered nearby, completely ignorant of anything noteworthy. Hey, Arthur! Come and hop to it! Stuart called out without glancing at him. Stuart’s words briefly interrupted the wonderful moment. Arthur hurriedly folded the map and placed it in his pocket. Stuart may not understand or care, but Jared’s world was right there, lying beneath the garden paths. Arthur told himself, ‘There’s time for this adventure later.’

He decided to return when darkness fell over the garden, giving him the privacy he needed to explore without interruption. Until then, Arthur had kept the garden’s mystery close, like a comforting secret meant just for him. He couldn’t help but feel excited at the prospect of telling Jared’s final story.
