UMA THURMAN

She might have made a name for herself as a leading lady, but Uma Thurman did not start out as an actress. When she was 15 years old, she started to model. The credit goes to her mom Nena von Schlebrügge, who was a model herself. Thurman graced the pages of Glamour and Vogue within a year. In 1987, she discovered acting and debuted in a thriller called Kiss Daddy Goodnight. The year after that, she left prep school so that she could focus on her career some more. It was clear that she was full of talent even when she was still just starting out. She earned A-list status when she appeared in Pulp Fiction. After that, she and filmmaker Quentin Tarantino also worked on the Kill Bill duology. As we all know, it was also received well by the critics and the viewers.

JANUARY JONES

Even though she is better known as an actress now, January Jones also got her start as a model. She was 18 years old when she launched her career in New York City. A scout spotted her when she was still in high school. She then went on to model for brands like Clearasil, Versace, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Aside from that, she also modeled for fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Bazaar, and GQ. She might have achieved a lot of success in this field, but she later decided to go into acting. In 1999, she made her debut and mostly earned minor roles. Things changed for her when she was cast to play Betty Draper in Mad Men in 2007. By the time the show ended in 2015, she had gotten nominated for an Emmy and two Golden Globes. She also won a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2020, she starred in Spinning Out. We think it is neat that she is involved in marine conservation.
