CHRISTIE BRINKLEY

In the ‘70s and ‘80s, Christie Brinkley was taking the fashion world by storm. A photographer by the name of Errol Sawyer discovered her in 1973. She then signed with Elite Model Management and then Ford Models later on. She graced the covers of various magazines and even signed a 25-year deal with CoverGirl, which is one of the longest ones in the modeling industry. What really shot her to global stardom was her appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She has since done even more modeling work thanks to her peppy girl-next-door vibe. Thanks to her successful modeling career, it was not hard for her to branch out into acting. In 1983, she made her first appearance in National Lampoon’s Vacation. She has also been in several shows and films such as The Goldbergs. When it comes to business, she has investments in real estate, alcohol, and beauty products.

LAUREN BACALL

No matter how much time has passed, Lauren Bacall is still considered one of the greatest actresses ever. She would not have reached that level of success if it had not been for her work as a model. In 1941, she trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and worked as a theater usher and fashion model on the side. Her acting career began the following year, but she also saw a lot of success by modeling for Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and Life. This basically landed her the iconic role in To Have and Have Not. After that, she decided to put her focus and attention on acting. She was also in The Shootist, The Mirror Has Two Faces, and The Big Sleep. She received an honorary Academy Award in 2009 for her contributions to the film industry. Aside from that, she also bagged many prestigious award nominations and wins in the past.
