The Get Down

Many fans were shocked after The Get Down was canceled after just one season. However, the hip-hop musical was weighed down by a large budget and hefty production delays. Despite this, the director of the series is certain that the spirit of the show will live on, and hopes it might even be revived in the future. He posted to Facebook how, “As for the real future of the show, the spirit of ‘The Get Down,’ and the story it has begun to tell … it has its own life. One that lives on today and will continue to be told somewhere, somehow, because of you, the fans and the supporters”.

When Netflix decided the time was right for Hemlock Grove to come to an end back in 2015, it was not such a big disappointment for fans. That’s because the creators knew in advance that this would be the season finale, so purposefully steered the storyline to its natural conclusion. The Executive Producer Eli Roth later said “We are so grateful to the fans of Hemlock Grove who have championed the series so intensely over two seasons…We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you’d come to expect from Hemlock Grove.”
