He posted to Facebook how, “As for the real future of the show, the spirit of ‘The Get Down,’ and the story it has begun to tell … it has its own life. One that lives on today and will continue to be told somewhere, somehow, because of you, the fans and the supporters”.

Even though the show has come to its natural end, the producers are still satisfied that they have left fans with a proper conclusion. That way they could give fans a season finale they needed. The creator of the show was very touched, and tweeted, “Your love has brought Sense8 back to life. (I could kiss every single one of you!)”.

Reed Hastings, the CEO of Netflix said in a statement to Vanity Fair how shows can be canceled for numerous reasons, but it’s “mostly, it is how many people watch.”
