Mark pushed his telephone to make sure he understood what the vet was saying. The veterinarian reiterated himself to guarantee that Mark heard the words from his lips. The doctor said that the puppies they carried in were not really dogs. Mark didn’t know what it meant. What would they be if they were not dogs?

Mark listened carefully as the vet brought forth the words, “red foxes.” He was shocked. Everyone was confident they looked at a litter of puppies and not a small troop of foxes! It puzzled him even more, as they were not red at all. They tend to be a darker shade at birth however.
