They did not only stand up to an older and bigger man but two of those! We do not even want to imagine what would have happened to the girl if it were not for them.

During the gala, Calgary Police Chief Chaffin delivered a speech at the start of the evening. He went on to talk about how nice it was to honor Calgarians who went to great lengths for the community. “Nobody gets their day started thinking this is going to happen to them, that they’re going to be involved in one of these things,” he said.
