When you become a parent, your preferences will change. You are going to start to fall in love with cribs, knee-high plastic gates, and baby pens. Anything that will leave the kiddy mess in one part of the rec room will be your new best friend. Sadly, they are not going to work forever. This dog mama here got a new plexiglass gate to leave the little ones safe as she attended to other important things like take a nap for 10 minutes. She eventually had to let them out, but the privacy was nice while it lasted.

As the old saying goes, the eyes are the windows to the soul. If you needed more proof that this was true, you should look at this mama dog who has been up for many nights looking after her 7 pups. Her soul probably reads “dog-tired.” Those eyes are either saying “end me” or “help me.” No doubt, she is barely hanging in there but we sure hope that things will get better in the future. She must be asking how on earth humans have the time to invent cars but not something to help her. The golden retriever in the photo got more than they bargained for after agreeing to look after the neighbor’s kids.
