“It’s time,” Clark murmured gently as he leaned in. Both of us got up and walked toward the microphone stand in the middle of the hallway. As we approached, the flurry of conversation in the room gradually subsided. As everyone turned to see what we had to say, the level of excitement in the room somewhat changed. We had all been waiting for this moment.
