Guests began to arrive
The visitors began to fill the chairs as the start time drew nearer, their laughing mingling with the background music. Under the ornamented arches, family members and friends gathered to converse and share tales. The sense of expectancy was almost palpable. As more faces emerged and each visitor was greeted with wide arms without understanding our strategy at all, Clark and I exchanged a knowing look.

Both families gathered to enjoy one other’s company and the lovely setting. Jason was visible across the street, his expression a mixture of eagerness and nervousness. He was attempting to calm his pre-wedding anxiety by chatting and joking with a bunch of his pals. Everyone appeared to be in a good mood and totally engrossed in the exciting atmosphere of the event. Nobody knew what was about to occur!
