According to her, the Devil took control of the nun’s body one day in 1676 and used it to write a devilish message on her heart. The note was written in a strange language with no discernible alphabet, making it difficult to understand what was being said. In contrast, its cryptic characters appeared to be an amalgamation of out-of-date letters and mystical symbols, as shown in the image below. Moreover, it would take 340 years to figure out what it all meant.

It appears that Satan has previously paid a visit to a convent, which is remarkable given the nature of the institution. It was just six months after the beginning of the plague that a group of 17 sisters was imprisoned within the walls of an Ursuline convent in Loudun, France. The nuns were confined for the rest of their lives. As a result, they began to behave in an unreasonable fashion. Several nuns have even claimed to have had visions in their lives.
