Maria Timmer is a current Ph.D. student at Central Michigan University. Aside from this impressive tidbit, she has also worked as the on-air meteorologist of Fox News since 2010! She was born in Nicaragua but raised in South Florida. Timmer wanted to become a meteorologist as someone who has lived in a place where hurricanes hit regularly. Before working at Fox, she worked for AccuWeather out of State College, Pennsylvania, and reported the weather in English and Spanish.
