Sarah Bradford, a royal biographer and expert, told The Daily Telegraph that it won’t happen. She claimed, “She won’t abdicate. That’s not what she does, or what the British monarchy does. There’s no tradition of abdication here – it goes against the informal rules of our constitutional set-up.”

A Pledge
Bedell Smith is of the same sentiment. She told USA Today that the abdication talks have been going around for years now. However, she explained that Queen Elizabeth made a pledge at the age of 21. Her promise has allegedly been renewed on several occasions since then!
