When the family awakened one morning, Benji was the first one out of bed. They checked all over the house but couldn’t find him. Stacy became concerned. She abused the shelter’s trust by mishandling Benji. What was going on? Benji either ran away or something else happened. She chose to keep it a secret from them, instead taking a week off work to look for Benji. She began by asking all of her neighbors if they had seen the puppy, but she was unsuccessful.
