Michael Ironside As Jean Rasczak
Michael Ironside portrays Jean Rasczak in the film. We’ve previously spoken a little bit about this soldier. He is a bright professor who teaches philosophy and has a right arm that has been amputated. When the bugs invade the Earth, he is ready to assume leadership. He is a competent soldier and one of the film’s bravest characters. He finally begs Rico to kill him as soon as he falls into the sandpit. Rico decides to give him his final request, despite his displeasure.
