Challenging Everyone
Julia told everyone in an interview, “I like to wear clothes; I like to express myself… I know that we are all looking at what the other person is wearing,” she continued, “To wear the same thing every day is uncomfortable because we have this deeply ingrained cultural expectation to change every day. It’s weird, but because it’s weird, it’s making us all think.” What do you believe about the cause of Julia? Could you take up the challenge and wear the same outfit for 100 days?
Elizabeth McCarthy
This challenge was also taken on by Elizabeth McCarthy, only somewhat differently. She appeared in an in-depth video interview instead of wearing the same dress for 100 consecutive days. There, she explained how she did it and how, if they wanted to, others could do the same. Elizabeth was keen to become more aware of what she wore and just how often she wore it, just like Julia. For the environment, it was all about being better.
