In the Jesse Stone film series, Tom Selleck plays the lead role. The series is inspired by a series of detective novels of the same title. The books were penned by author Robert B. Parkers. There have been about nine films so far and Selleck is greatly involved in their productions. In fact, he was the creator of the original story for the fifth film, Jesse Stone: Thin Ice.
